Playing To Win -- Reading

For my novel study, I have been reading a book called playing to win.

The main character in the storys name is Denny, He moved to a new place, He went to school, enrolled for it, got a ford escort, got a job at a video store for money to make his 2 seven year old sisters, He is a rugby player. the first day he had at school there was a person called Todd, Todd constantly bullied Denny, Then after school Todd wanted to race, as the lights turned green they took off, Todd car stalled and Denny won, How humiliating.

Denny picks up his sisters and took them to ther park, He played rugby with them, then next time Denny saw Todd he shoved Denny so Denny put a crab on him and it kept nipping him.

Te Reo Maori

Te Reo Maori, Hello my name is josh yesterday we done work about Atua Maori, There were 2 gods that were connected, he tried to push them off by putting his back on the female god and his feet on the male god, they won't let go so he asked for the sacred axes and it got given to him he cut their arms off and they went their seperate ways, The Other gods lived Better and happily.

Then there was another one, Someone had a wife, He hit her when he got mad and she then left him for her tribe, He went to go find her it took multiple days but finally he was there. He Asked for truce and to have her bach, she gave him one last chance, they then lived happily.

Soccer PE

This and last term for PE Hurumanu my group did Football/Soccer my lesson was successful because my team had really cooperative and had amazing team work. My role was to be a referee and also putting all the equipment out on the court, I would like to do Tchouckball because another team did it and it was really fun. With Tchoukball or hockey because the rules of the 2 games are easy, but for soccer it was really hard to get people to concentrate because people were playing around a lot.

What I learnt is that when you are in goal wear gloves and be strong because people Knuckle Ball it, Knuckle ball means they kick it so hard that your hand will pull back really far because you can get proper control of the ball. Game of Football

Do you think you will like this book. Why or why not? Yes because I like rugby and I can see that this book might be an action book and they are my favorite type of books

Going to Blenheim

In the holidays, I went to Blenheim, this was fun because on the way there I got to buy a bunch of food, (with my mum's money). then when I got there I have my nana a hug and we went inside, I had milo then I made my bed ready for staying there for 3 days, then I had dinner, that night I had Chinese, the best Chinese I have ever had it was amazing.

After I had dinner I got chocolate-coated ice creams, I ate that super past. Then when I finished that it was kinda late and my parents wanted to go to bed so my mum let me watch captain underpants series on Netflix on my mum's phone, I would recommend watching them they are hilarious. I watched them for about 11:00 pm.

I went to bed, the next morning had corn fritters for breakfast to get me energized, I went next door to my friend Matthews house and played some Xbox then I got offered to go roller-skating with them, I thought I would be really bad but then I picked up on it really fast, roller skating was fun but I kept falling over. I raced his sister Mikayla, I won I was very surprised that I won because she comes here almost every week.

What is scratch? it's a programming software that you can make stories and games that are animated. We ald did something called spheros, The spheros have an app on the ipads and they can be programmed to say things, Move around and crash into things, they are super durable and they don't break very easily.
They can both be programmed to do things when u click something, I would rather prefer using spheres because they are real-life things and you can actually use thm they arent VR type things.

P.E Reflection

On Monday we played a game called bench ball. our warm-ups were Star Jumps, High knees and jogging back and forth. we needed to do 40 starjumps,  20 High knees and 10 running up and down. we did one drill which was walk up on granny where someone was at the wall and people were at the other wall and they ran if the granny turned around and saw anyone running they needed to go back.

Then we played benchball. The games were, Year 7 BH VS Year 7TZ In that game 7TZ won and in the game where the Year 8 BH and Year 8 TZ played Bh won, that was my team. then we played a year 7 vs year 8 game. The year 8´s one that.

The rules of the game:
At the start of the game someone throws the ball in the air and two people need to try to catch it. if they catch it they pass it to their teammate when you pass it to your teammate they need to keep passing it until someone on their team can pass it to the person on the bench. if you drop the ball when you catch it it's the other team's ball. then when all of your team is on the bench you win.

Maths:
What I felt about the maths is that it was easy but hard. Some of the equations we did were easy and some of them were hard. I didn't learn anything really but what they could do next time is make a bigger field and not even numbers.

Last time I wasn't very encouraging to my teammates but this time I will so I don't get in trouble and because it will help my team win.
