Reading & Reflection

Hello, the past 2 weeks we have been reading in wananga, I read Gangsta Granny by David Walliams. It's about a little boy and his grandma, he doesnt like going to her house on friday because she smells like cabbage and only likes playing scrabble, one day over the phone to his parents he said she is boring and smells like cabbage.

Granny heard him say that and so she changed, she bought fake jewels to make Ben think she was a gangsta, then she was going to pretend to steal the Queen's crown jewels, but Ben insisted he wanted to go, to the point that she couldn't say no, then Ben made a good plan to steal the crown jewels, by going through a sewage pipe into the Queens house. When they went through with that plan, they went into the sewage pipes and when in there, they had successfully got to the crown jewels then the Queen showed up, they wouldve got in alot of trouble, but luckily the Queen pardoned them and let them go.

  1. What a fantastic response to reading Josh! You've provided a great overview of the story, introduced the characters well and supported your text with standout images. Have you read any other David Walliams books?

Nice work.. what a great plot overview. Did you have a favourite character in the story? And if so, what made that character your fave?
    Keep up the reading..
