100 Word Challenge About 3 Snowmen

There were 3 snowmen chatting to each other in the lovely times of winter. It was near Christmas and everything was snowy, the trees, the table, they were drinking water chatting about how much they love winter and that they hope it never ends. There is where it gets bad, the sun slowly comes out from behind the clouds, they are scared for their lives. “AHH” says one snowman, “Oh no goodbye friends it has been a very fun time with you,” says another one, they look at the 3rd snowman and he is running for his life. “Goodbye”

100 word challenge 2!

These were 50 aliens some looked like dogs and cats and some looked like horses and cows. I was thinking why are they here, I heard there was a universe under us that had aliens. I DID NOT THINK THEY WOULD LOOK LIKE ANIMALS THOUGH. That is creepy. Then a boss came up how did he get up here. He has super jump and ultrasonic speed it looked like he teleported over to me because he was so fast he was holding brass knuckles ready to fight he tried to punch me I dodged it then swung at him DEAD!.

On friday I was sailing I got to go on an electric boat and see all of the other people moving slowly in sailing boats. I was going really fast and the motor was rumbling. And someone went past in another electric boat and made a big wave and we jumped over it and water sprayed everywhere. Then when I got off the boat I was thinking I would go on a sailing boat. The wind got rougher and rougher and I fell into the water. I was running around trying to dry off and when I was dry I started thinking again about if I would g sailing. Eventually I had thought about it and my decision was no. I didn't want to go on a sailing boat because it tipped over for lots of people and I get winded really easily winded when I get winded I can't swim so I get really scared. I decided that i would go swimming instead.

We are learning about Christmas traditions around the world. today I learned that lots of different people in different country's put different treats out for Santa and his reindeer.Where he can find a bowl of risengrod or rice pudding.

Today my reading group has been reading about Light houses.

I have learnt that Light houses are now massively technical and Very automated. there were over 1,500 wrecks in 19th-century New Zealand and over 2,000 death. In the 1850s coastal lights were haphazardly places insufficient. In 1862 the nelson provincial council announced that from 4 august and every night thereafter a beam would shine from dday till night from a light house an the boulder bank.

Troll tries to rule the catland

WALT: make a Troll story with a funny/good twist.

This week I have been Creating a story about a troll That tries to steal a cookie and... You'll see if you read the story

ALARM CALL

One cold dark night a troll was trotting in the woods. It was 9999 He came across an animal he had never seen before. He was wondering what is was, then he heard it making a prrrrr sound and then he saw a cookie jar with one more cookie in it. He carefully stepped over the cute kitten and stole the cookie out of the jar. Little did he know that the kitten was awake and he was a black belt in karate. The troll started walking away and then the kitten pounced on him and pushed him into a ditch. Whenever he does something heroic He grows a bit The kitten's name was Karaitten.

He was now One of the best karate kittens in the world… Oh There are no other karate kittens in the world… or are there? Maybe there was a dojo somewhere Where kittens learn karate let's search the world and see Right meow I am in China so I need to go to catland

and then I will find my way to a dojo and learn some more things that maybe i have forgotten or that I haven't learnt yet. Dun Dun duuuuuuun… To never be continued.

This week in writing we have been learning about weather ans how warm heat rises an carries the most moisture and cold air goes down and carries hardly any moisture.

“Dang this is annoying… the sun is too hot on my body.

Weather Is a unexpected thing that changes minute by minute.

The weather at the moment is really hot and the sun is up really high and there are no clouds anywhere to be seen. This is a really hot day and the sun gets really hot.

Tornadoes are Really fast spinning clouts that pick up anything to be seen. They are really strong and have lots of power.

A storm is an uproar that has lots of different weathers into such as rain, lightning and thunder. They are all called a storm when they are together.

The difference between a cyclone and a hurricane is that a cyclone spins right and a hurricane goes left.

This storm is really cold and i need to go inside and take a picture. I LOVE STORMS!!

Josh Spencer park Recount

Spencer park Trip 13/3/17

YAY Spencer park!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When i woke up on Friday morning. I was feeling a little at the time The 4-6 seniors went to Spencer park. we went there to get to know each other better. First we had morning tea when we got there. I had a delicious small packet of chili Doritos. Then Mr breach said we could go play. First i went to the tennis court and played tennis with Levi,Tyson,Tai,Tamani and I.

Then i went to play tag on the big play ground it had 2 flying foxes, 3 slides, 4 swings 2 monkey bar things that you swing on and and 2 big poles spread out with wires connecting onto them one wire down bottom and one at top.

Then we Got called in for Lunch and then we went to the beach and had a cool competition with all the things we could find and i used a thick and long stick with a cool bag on top to make look like a flag and the competition was the most creative and tallest ours was none of them.

In inquiry we have been learning about the process people go through  to create a product. i had to make the salt dough i was using so i could make it. 

my product is a flowerpot.

lNew Family InformationEvery year new families come to South Hornby School.It is full of nice and friendly people and fun learning communities.
We go to school trips and every year on Term 4 we have school camps. They are in December. We have camp choir and kapa haka.
You'll get to know everyone here. We have our own pool most schools here don’t have a pool but we do it is about 10 by 4 metres long.We also do winter sport.The options you can choose are netball, hockey, rugby and soccer we do training every thursday . We also do pizza day and hot dog day  you can get hotdogs and drinks
We help schools raise money for the lovely charities with no money or they are sick. We have kiwican there are 2 leaders they are nathan and katie they play fun games and they talk about our values. The school values are Play Choose Your Attitude Be There and last of all Make Their Day.
We have milk for schools it is fonterra. We do cross country, athletics and duathlon.And last of all of the good people go to the office to Mr.M and you get marshmallows mellowpuffs and hot chocolates.I hope you enjoy this school

Holiday Recount

This week we wrote Holiday Recounts

In the Holidays my Sister,Mum,Dad and I went to Hanmer Springs. We had to get our car ready I took togs and clothes,a towel,goggles,snorkel,flippers. We went to the pools they were so hot first I went in a spa that was 40-42 degrees it felt like I was on burning hot fire so I hopped out really fast.

So I hopped in one that was 38-40 degrees it was so perfect so I stayed in it for about 5-10 minutes. After that I went in the huge pool it was warm so me and my sister went to the very deep end mum and dad were all ready over there so we got over to the deep end and dad went underwater and I hopped on his shoulders he came up really fast and I done a backflip and splashed.

After about half an hour I went on a hydro slide it was so fun I liked it. When I had been on a hydro slide about four of five times I went on the super bowl hydro slide is a big high tube you need to climb stairs and it's a MASSIVE tube that has water in it and that’s warm and if you sit down you go really slow so you need to lay down so you go SUPER SPEED!

After a while my Sister went with me on the super bowl we went on a double  the line was short there were only two other people going on it so we hopped straight in the water and went straight down it and we went in circles lots and we got stuck in the water so we had to push ourselves out it was really hard and we went down the hole backwards

Riley,dad,(liv),maddie and I went the movies we watched the jungle book in 3D it was awesome!! The names were mowgli,baloo,bagheera,shere Khan,Akela,raksha,kaa,hathi,Rama,Mysa,Chil,Ikki,Tha,Thu. Mowgli was with the wolf pack leader (Akela) and the tiger came (Shere Kahn) and pitched Akela up and threw her off the mountain it was sad.

My favourite thing in the holidays is that we went the Hanmer Spring for two days and we got to see the fun things we could do there such as i saw a big spider and a cool looking tree it was awesome

Star Explosion

This week we have been writing about a star explosion and we and to describe what it was about. First we made a sequence map then we made a describe ++ map it was fun.

We watched the video of a star exploding. This is it below.

My Star Explosion Description

A star explodes when it reaches the end of it’s life.

The star begins as a bright yellow star. It starts to bubble with orange,yellow and red flames. I think it's getting hotter because it’s getting ready to explode. This makes me wonder how big do stars get

Suddenly lots of little explosions pop out like popcorn it's really blue and white i wonder what it might look like from earth it might look all orange then when it gets bigger you can see it's all blue maybe i think it is like this because the core has exploded. It makes me wonder how did the core break?

All of a sudden there is a bright white flash. The flash expands from the star and goes as far as you can see. It might go further then you can see.  I think it does this because the core has gone BOOM!! This makes me wonder are stars small suns?

Finally the star has exploded and the whole star is blue and it’s getting bigger and bigger. I think that when it has exploded it turns into little rocky things and spread throughout space. This makes me wonder how do stars  grow and grow?

Overall there are 4 stages to a star exploding.
